Just got a blurb from my floor plan bunch;''Since they are having such a hard time in the banking crisis they have to add a min. 2.20% charge to all outstanding accounts...
Now wait just a minute here I just had the slowest season I have had in decades, poor weather, high gas, no loan money. Did I send them a letter stating;" I think I'll cut my intrest payment 2.20%.. How is it that since we have all had a bad time we don't try to help each other out a little instead of twisting the screws. So what if they don't get as much as they used to, I have to cut back. do they not?

big box stores
Big box boat stores consolidating just tickles me pink, For years I have said someday these big overhead guys will get done in, Maybe it has come. They run too much on O P M. and without the cash flow the're done.
Now you know who's next , the big supplyers of these guys, that tie up their production in 5 or 6 dealers now they will be hurting as well, and they will be comming around looking for dealers. My door will be closed to them.

I have had to throw two guys out of the dealership this year for being unreasonable and uncival. Both have tried to blame me because they had to drive 30 miles to bring their boat to the shop, then had to come back a couple days later to pick it up. i tried both times to explain that sometime we don't have the parts or time to repair their rig on the spot. Now I know what the problem is the d---n gas cost so much they want to blame someone so it's me. But i cannot help it they are just plain unreasonable.
Well those guys have cut their nose off to spite their faces. Anyone other than me see such behavior?

I just recived a fax from Bank America they are not going to finance any Challenger products.....Well ain't that nice, now the dealer will be stuck with that product, and it's not any of his fault, the customer that will be making the payments will be punished eventhough he sitll would make the payments.
And if some one had any sense they could make a pile o'jack by selling a hull warranty on all Challenger boats, The engines will still have factory warrantys,all the bits and peices will have their warrantys, the only worry will be the hull, and what ever goes wrong with hulls??? oops I didn't really say that.

Pray to the good Lord no one in Washington is looking after or at you. The only thing a suit will do if it's successful is to have oil companys reformulate marine fuel so it doesn't damage parts and then it will cost more.
The suit should be against the frickin EPA and that bunch for thinking ethonolwilldo anything to help the energy problem.
Plus there is no energy problem, just drill more wells, get the EPa out of the oil business. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE, IT'S A BUNCH OF AL GORE BULL CRAP. WE NEED TO START A GLOBAL MOVMENT TO TAKE BACK OUR FREEDOMS AND LIBERTY. AS OUR FOREFATHERS DID WE MUST STAND UP AND BE COUNTED THIS TIME THE ENEMY IS WITHIN, HE MUST BE ROOTED OUT AND MADE TO CONFESS HIS LIES. WE CAN DO IT IT TAKES THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE. PUT PETTIONS IN YOUR STORE HAVE YOUR CUSTOMERS SIGN THEM SEND THEM TO THE PEOPLE WHERE IT WILL DO THE MOST GOOD . I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR YEARS, AND NO IT HAS NOT DONE ANY GOOD , BECAUSE I'M ONE GUY, I CAN'T DO IT ALL. bROTHER DEALERS LET'S STAND TOGETHER IN THIS FIGHT, TO STOP THIS STEAM ROLLER ON OUR BUSINESS, JOIN THIS BLOG AND AS MANY OTHERS THAT YOU CAN SPREAD THE WORD TO BRING THIS TO THE FOREFRONT. COWER NOT FROM THE SPECTER OF OVERSIZE GOVERMENT, LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD AND YOUR LETTERS FLOW FREE LIKE THE WATER WE ALL LOVE AND NEED FOR OUR PROSPAIRITY.

well I guess you answered your own post "no loose Yammie dealers" that should tell you something. or not.
By the way the only person that will put me out of business is me, when I decide to go out of business I will comprimise my principles, and that will be the end of me. until then I will belive in my own values not yours, and will serve the customer in the way that is best for him. That has served me well for 41 years and will continue to do so. When you have served the public for as many years and made a good living at the same time, you can inform me as how to treat my customers.
Until that time I will respond no more to any thing you have to say.
No hard feelings, I'm just done.
